Outdoor & Indoor Play Areas

We have a beautifully landscaped outdoor play area that allows children to explore the natural environment, encouraging them to engage in open- ended interactions, risk taking, spontaneity exploration, and discovery. The space allows children to develop an appreciation and awareness of the natural environment. In addition to the outdoor areas we have an indoor multipurpose playroom where the children can participate in a range of activities that would usually be done outside no matter what the weather conditions. The indoor play areas are spacious, free flowing, light and filled with beautiful furnishings and resources. Our aim is to nurture young children’s minds and bodies and we do this by creating spaces that vibrant, flexible and responsive to the interests and abilities of each individual child

Program

Our Curriculum is based upon the Early Years Learning Framework and reflects an emergent play based approach, reflective of children’s individual strengths, ideas, cultural, family and community context. The framework guides the planning and evaluation of children’s learning experiences.

The five Learning outcomes
1. Children have a strong sense of identity
2. Children are connected with and contribute to the world
3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
4. Children are confident and involved learners
5. Children are effective communication

We believe that every aspect of a child’s day, every experience and every interaction is an opportunity for children’s learning. Children’s learning is dynamic, complex and holistic. Their physical, social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative cognitive, and linguistic abilities are supported by our passionate and caring educators in a play and inquiry based learning environment.
The cycle of planning is informed by critical reflection and professional knowledge.

Baby Room

Babies are curious and their imaginations are expanding all the time. Our spacious rooms, ensure that they are given the opportunity to explore the world around them. We believe that babies and young children learn best when they have warm, engaged and responsive relationships with their educators.. We encourage parents to spend time with their child in the babies room exploring it together before their first day.

Toddlers

Our toddler room fosters creativity and imagination. Children are encouraged to explore their world, express their feeling, better understand themselves and others and test out different ideas and ways of problem solving. Educators support the children as they become independent learners and know the importance of communicating and sharing these milestones with the families. The indoor and outdoor environment is spacious and provides intentional play spaces that encourage investigation and imagination.

Menu

All children are provided with healthy, nutritious food options. Our menu has been developed on advice from Nutrition Australia and provides children with at least 50% of their recommended daily nutritional intake. The menu is changed regularly to reflect the seasonal fruit and vegetables available at the time. Our chef prepares all meals on site from fresh, ingredients and where possible, sourced from local suppliers. Our dining room, located next to the kitchen provides a separate area away from the children’s play space. Children can engage with their educators and peers whilst enjoying their meals in a relaxed, calm, environment. This also allows the chef and children to have meaningful conversations around food with the children. Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack are provided for the children. All dietary requirements are catered for.
